At 10:00 on June 18th, the first inspection train of the Xiangyang-Jingmen high-speed railway, No. 55163, departed from Xiangyang East Station and headed towards Jingmen West Station, conducting comprehensive tests on the track, overhead contact system, communication, signaling, and other systems. This marked the start of joint commissioning and testing for the Xiangyang-Jingmen high-speed railway, laying a solid foundation for the entire line to be ready for operation this year.
During the joint commissioning and testing period, China Railway Wuhan Bureau Group Co., Ltd., in conjunction with China Academy of Railway Sciences Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Railway Group Co., Ltd., and all participating construction units, will carefully organize, clarify responsibilities, and implement division of labor. They will conduct targeted commissioning on the "four electric" systems, including the overhead contact system, power transformation, communication signals, and fine adjustment of the high-speed railway line every day, to ensure the smooth progress of various tests.
Zhang Jing, a senior engineer from the joint commissioning and testing headquarters of the Xiangyang-Jingzhou High-Speed Railway, introduced that the Xiangyang-Jingzhou High-Speed Railway, which connects the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-Speed Railway to the north and the Yanjiang High-Speed Railway to the south, is an important part of the "Huhan-Nanjiang Corridor", one of the main "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway corridors in China. After the completion and opening of the Xiangyang-Jingzhou High-Speed Railway, it will take only about 30 minutes to travel from Xiangyang to Jingmen by high-speed train, reducing the travel time from the current one and a half hours to half an hour. It will form the first high-speed railway loop in Hubei Province, which is of great significance in serving and supporting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and accelerating the establishment of Hubei as an important strategic fulcrum for the rise of central China.
