The first phase of the Egypt Ramadan Tenth City Railway Project adopts a "Y" shaped line, consisting of three main branch lines A, B, and C. The total length of the line is about 66km, with a total of 11 stations and 1 vehicle depot (including OCC). The traction power supply system is AC25kV, and there are 2 traction substations. This project uses vehicles with a length and width similar to the Chinese subway B-type, with a maximum operating speed of 120km/h. The train is composed of 6 fixed cars and operates in a "Y" shape. The initial configuration includes 22 trains/132 vehicles, with a maximum system design capacity of 24 pairs/h and a minimum travel interval of 2.5 minutes.
As the EPC contractor for this project, China Railway Group AVIC International Consortium has signed a maintenance service general contract.
The project has an execution period of 12 years, involving the maintenance and upkeep of relevant equipment, vehicles, fixtures, and tools required for daily maintenance and major overhaul of various vehicle specialties.
